I just wanted to leave this quote from Dagger here, I thought it was special.
You have to remember, teenagers tend to divide the world into two categories: cool and not cool. I don't care how old you get, nobody ever, ever wants to land in that second category.

Jessie! I've been dying to read your book!!! I still have the initial little bit you sent me that one time, but I am dying to read the real thing.
I remember when you sent it to me. My dad and i were fighting so i ran up to my room in his little appartment and read it for hours. When i was done he had finally stopped yelling at me, and i had relaxed a little. I really like your writing. We need to talk some time. You know my emails, so write.
